1. What do you know about monologues after finishing this project?
I know that monologues are quite alike to speeches, where one person is saying thoughts or a story to a group or audience of people. I also learned the difference between a monologue and a soliloquy, which is that a soliloquy is to themselves, so they are alone.
2. What theme from Macbeth did you choose to use in your monologue?
I chose the themes of Time and Versions of Reality. I thought it was very different from the main focal points of Macbeth and I wanted to see if it would be interesting trying to incorporate it to my life through my monologue.
3. Do you think your monologue has a clear beginning, middle, and end? Describe it.
Yes, I do. The beginning is when she starts to realize her sister is gone. The middle is when she registers what will never happen again. The end I, I think, is when she notices that all the things she misses, wants, and hopes for are things of the past, even though she still dreams about going back to them. Even though that isn't at the very end of the monologue, I think the fact that she came to terms with what she was feeling signifies the end of her train of thought, while still wrapping up the monologue a bit after.
4. How productive were you during the production component of this project? Explain.
I believe I was always productive when I needed to finish or work on a specific task. I managed to keep up with the packet by checking consistently to make sure I had all of the worksheets done before it was due. If I finished an assignment early, I continued to work on projects and objectives in other classes that had upcoming due dates.
5. Do you think you were on task for the vast majority of this project? Explain.
Yes, I do. As I stated in the previous question, when I had an assignment to finish, I worked on it during and free time or work time and made sure I was up to date with all of the due dates.
6. Did you work in a pair? How helpful/unhelpful was that? If you worked alone, were you able to manage your time appropriately? Explain.
No, I worked alone. I have kind of always just been used to managing my time so it wasn't much a problem, luckily. If I worked in a pair I don't think I would have been able to express whatever I did in my final monologue.
